IS IT SAFE TO TRAVEL TO KASHMIR

A commonly asked question & our answer to that is yes Kashmir is safe to travel in.Not only is it safe, but it is fun, amazing and incredibly one of the most beautiful places on the earth.
Over the last many years Kashmir has experienced problems with infighting between the government forces and the extremists due to conflicting ideas and political disagreement.
Though it’s a fact that cannot be hidden that people mostly civilians, got killed during this conflict, there is rarely a proven record of any tourists or travelers being injured, killed or involved in anyway.
All people in Kashmir have a strong belief that TOURISTS are honorable guests & every Kashmiri abides by this and offers the warmest of welcomes to all visitors to the Valley.
Moreover for the last almost 5 years now the valley has received many Hundreds of Thousands of guests both domestic & international.
People should be aware that Kashmir is a developing country and sometimes things do get out of hand. A lot of the bad press Kashmir receives is unjustified media hype.
Since August 2008, the level of disturbance has gone down considerably & is a minuscule when compared to any other state of the country. This was particularly proven in the recently held Assembly & Lok Saba (Parliamentary) election which was absolutely 100% violence free.
Moreover for the last almost 5 years now the valley has received many Hundreds of Thousands of guests both domestic & international.
